SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled IoT and Systems Specialist to manage IoT devices and API device integration into the proprietary system.

Purpose of the Job We are seeking a highly skilled IoT and Systems Specialist to manage IoT devices and API device integration into the proprietary system by designing IoT processes and developing solutions based on client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and be able to apply IoT and device and system integration with efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in IoT systems management and systems integration. Proven experience in managing IoT devices and Edge and Mobile systems. Strong understanding of communication protocols (serial, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, RFID, BLE, mesh). Experience with GPS technology and mapping. Knowledge of hardware design and evaluation. Familiarity with mobile device integration and barcode technologies. Proficiency in Edge and APP software design and user interface development. Experience with label design software is advantageous. Key Responsibilities: IoT and Edge Device Integration and Management Configure, deploy, and maintain IoT (RFID, BLE, LTE, GPS, NFC, …) sensors and edge devices. Monitor and troubleshoot IoT device connectivity, performance, and reliability. Ensure secure and efficient operation of IoT and edge devices. Windows System Desktop: Understand and enable IT infrastructure for the management and support of Windows system desktops. Perform regular updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Process Design and Implementation: Conduct meetings with clients to understand their needs and business processes. Design processes from initial client meetings to final drafts for developers. Collaborate with developers and IT infrastructure to ensure systems are built according to design specifications. Communication Technologies: Understand and implement communication protocols, including serial, Ethernet, RFID, GPS, Wi-Fi, BLE, NFC and mesh networks. Ensure seamless integration of communication technologies within systems. GPS and Mapping: Utilise GPS technology within applications, maps and devices. Implement location-based services and solutions. Hardware Design and Management: Design hardware solutions considering cost, capabilities, and restrictions. Evaluate and select appropriate hardware components for projects. Mobile Device Integration: Understand mobile phone devices and their integration with IoT systems. Implement barcode scanning and linking items using mobile apps. App Software Design: Design contribution to functional and user-friendly app software. Contribute to the development of strong but simple user interfaces. Barcode Technologies and Label Design: Understand barcode technologies and printing. Proficiency in testing and validating IoT, RFID - EPC Gen2, and NFC systems. Experience in developing portals and device readers for mobility applications, like RFID, BLE, and others. Document test results and provide recommendations for improvements. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent technical troubleshooting and system optimisation. Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under minimal supervision. Proactive, innovative mindset with strong attention to detail. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational functions.
