SUMMARY

We are seeking a commercially strong Sales Director to lead growth within the industrial equipment and engineered solutions sector. This role focuses on driving innovative, solution-based sales strategies across capital equipment and aftermarket services, while strengthening customer relationships and expanding market share. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution to grow both new equipment sales and recurring service revenue through value-driven, technology-enabled solutions.

Job Description Lead the sales strategy for equipment and aftermarket solutions Drive profitable growth across industrial equipment, engineered systems, and service offerings Develop and manage relationships with key customers, distributors, OEMs, EPCs, and end users Identify and convert new business opportunities through innovative, solution-based selling approaches Lead and develop a high-performing sales team with a strong customer and performance focus Own pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, CRM discipline, and sales reporting Drive pricing strategy and value-based selling to ensure sustainable margins and commercial competitiveness Grow aftermarket revenue through service agreements, spare parts, repairs, retrofits, upgrades, and lifecycle solutions Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and strategic account management initiatives Collaborate closely with engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure strong delivery alignment Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and expansion Ensure strong installed base growth and lifecycle revenue optimisation Skills & Experience 5-10 years' experience in senior sales leadership within industrial equipment, engineered systems, or technical solutions environments Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales teams Strong experience in solution-based and consultative selling within industrial or process-driven markets Experience managing distributors, channel partners, and key strategic accounts Solid understanding of long-cycle, multi-stakeholder B2B sales environments Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, margin management, and forecasting Ability to translate technical solutions into clear customer value propositions Experience in industries such as manufacturing, mining, water, energy, chemical, food & beverage, or related sectors advantageous Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills Data-driven, structured, and commercially disciplined approach Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Commerce, or a related field MBA or relevant commercial qualification will be advantageous Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
