Company and Job Description Our client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded General Manager to take ownership of a growing financial services operation. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who wants exposure beyond the finance function and is eager to develop their leadership, operational and strategic capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, managing reporting requirements and driving overall business performance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on management experience while building a long-term career within financial services. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the business Oversee financial reporting and performance monitoring Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements Monitor and improve credit and collections performance Liaise with internal finance and support teams Manage administrative and operational processes Drive business growth initiatives and client relationships Ensure accurate and timely management reporting Job Experience and Skills Required Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent finance qualification Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles Experience: 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience Exposure to financial reporting and reconciliations Tax and compliance experience advantageous Experience within financial services, lending or credit environments beneficial Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Leadership potential Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Commercial awareness and business acumen Ability to work independently and take ownership Apply now!
