Warehouse Storeman

EAGLE LIGHTING CURRENTLY HAS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AVALIABLE AT OUR ATLANTIC HILLS WAREHOUSE FOR A STOREMAN

• To assist with the unloading of incoming containers and delivery vehicles and the loading of the vehicles for deliveries to clients and to shops.
• To assist with the picking, packing, moving, carrying and storing of goods carefully and safely in the warehouse and where necessary, the shop.
• Ensuring that goods are looked after, handled and stored safely and correctly at all times and that care is taken to avoid losses
• To assist with the prepacking and labelling of products into plastic bags
• Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly working environment and assisting with the cleaning of the store shelves and general store area.
• Process stock transfers from the warehouse to other branches correctly and efficiently on the company computer system (currently K8)
• To ensure that the correct goods in the correct quantities picked, packed and labelled for the correct stock transfers and the correct customer orders
• To ensure that all instructions are understood and followed by yourself with regard to stock transfers, stock movements and stock storage
• To provide assistance to the sales staff with regards to stock requests and to communicate in a polite and friendly manner
• To ensure that stock is counted accurately and correctly and to report any inaccuracies of stock on hand levels on the computer system (currently K8) to management
• Bringing to the attention of management any wrong doings and/or incorrect procedures being performed by others, which are not in compliance with company procedures.
• To ensure that you comply with all company policies and procedures at all times.
• Keep in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items.
• Assist management with any other duties as may be required from time to time in other departments or warehouses
• Be available and assisting with stocktaking as and when required by management (which typically includes working late and working on Saturdays and Sundays)

Matric certificate

Warehouse experience (minimum 2 years)

Reelevant industry experience
