SUMMARY

A well-established company specialising in advanced drone technology and solutions, primarily focused on the agricultural sector, is seeking a Junior Drone Maintenance Technician to be responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of its fleet of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Working under the guidance of the Lead UAS Maintenance Technician, the successful candidate will assist with workshop operations, inspections, repairs, testing, and technical administration to ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Minimum requirements for the role: Must be a qualified UAS Maintenance Technician (UASMT) or have an equivalent technical qualification Relevant experience in drone maintenance, aviation systems, electronics, mechatronics, RC aircraft systems, or related technical fields Exposure to agricultural drone systems or autonomous aviation technologies would be advantageous Must have an understanding of drone maintenance procedures, troubleshooting methodologies, and technical repair processes Working knowledge of SACAA regulations, Part 101 requirements, and UAS operational safety standards Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent attention to detail Ability to interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and maintenance procedures Good computer literacy and ability to work with digital maintenance management systems The successful candidate will be responsible for: Assisting with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing unmanned aerial systems and associated equipment. Supporting the maintenance and servicing of drone airframes, propulsion systems, electronic components, batteries, and peripheral equipment. Assisting with fault-finding activities and implementing corrective actions under the supervision of senior technicians. Supporting workshop activities to ensure aircraft are maintained to operational and safety standards. Preparing aircraft and equipment for operational deployment and customer delivery. Assisting in conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new aircraft and equipment. Supporting post-repair inspections and testing procedures to verify serviceability. Assisting with test flights and performance verification activities where authorised. Ensuring maintenance activities comply with company procedures, SACAA regulations, and applicable safety standards. Maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence in all workshop activities. Updating and maintaining digital maintenance records accurately and timeously. Assisting with tracking repairs, service history, and maintenance schedules within company systems. Supporting inventory management activities, including spare parts tracking and stock control. Assisting with workshop documentation and reporting requirements. Ensuring maintenance records are complete and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Lead UASMT and technical team to ensure efficient workshop operations. Contributing to maintaining a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment. Participating in technical training and continuous professional development activities. Assisting with identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes and operational efficiency. Supporting ad hoc technical projects and initiatives as required.
