About

Our client based in Waltloo, Pretoria, is looking for a hands-on Millwright with a strong interest in production and manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a factory environment, fault-finding on machinery, reducing downtime, and being actively involved in keeping production running efficiently.

The successful candidate will work closely with production and maintenance teams within a growing manufacturing environment focused on innovative recycled plastic construction products.

Job Spec

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on manufacturing equipment
• Carry out preventative and planned maintenance schedules
• Minimise production downtime and ensure machines operate efficiently
• Assist with machine installations, modifications, and commissioning
• Support production teams to improve plant performance and efficiencies
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and procedures
• Maintain maintenance records and report recurring equipment issues
• Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth factory operations
• Assist with breakdowns and urgent repairs when required
• Monitor machinery performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and spare parts control

Requirements

• Qualified Millwright
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing or production environment prefered
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
• Experience working on production machinery, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, or hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Keen interest in production and factory operations
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance practices
• Experience within plastics, recycling, FMCG, packaging, or industrial manufacturing environments advantageous
• Own transport and ability to travel to Waltloo, Pretoria
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on approach
