Junior Electrical Software Engineer/Computer Engineer
Parktown North
You will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing software solutions in the field of electrical engineering.
Minimum requirements:
- BEng (Electronic Engineering) or Computer Engineering
- Experience in C or C++ (NOT C#)
- 1-2 years experience required after graduation
- Experience in Linux
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to clearly communicate with all levels and clients
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software electrical engineering solutions for existing and new products.
- Design, troubleshoot, and debug engineering software challenges.
- System design and architecture
- Linux only (no Windows or MAC)
- C++ mostly hardware-level interface
- SQL databases (mostly MySQL)
- Basic web interfaces (mostly PHP & JavaScript)
- Reading electronic and electrical diagrams/schematics
- Working with electronic engineers on designs
