We are looking for a Quality Inspector to assist with conducting quality inspections on all stages of the manufacturing process to ensure that finished products meet customer’s expectations.

The purpose of the role is to carry out quality inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring that finished products meet customer expectations and company standards.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualifications

  • Matric (grade 12 school leaving certificate) with a pass in mathematics.

Additional qualifications

  • At least 1 years’ experience in the Automotive Industry working on a Production line.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • First and Last Off evaluation and approval.
  • Evaluate product characteristics and process parameters and record on inspection plan.
  • Conduct FMK (functional measurement concepts) on specific product.
  • Conduct in-process and end-of-line inspections and record on relevant sheets such as Talley-Sheets.
  • Initiate pre-investigation on product and process deviations.
  • Conduct weight and thickness measurements on raw material and finished product.
  • Initiate and supervise stock sort and or system check and record results.
  • Participate and provide centre of excellence for quality control function during audits.
  • Provide useful and clear communication to ensure continuity through hand-over book.
  • Possess ability to attend and be a line representative at customer at any given time when required.
  • Communicate and present quality performance for relevant section and or shift.
  • Ability to read and record measurement results.
  • Conduct measurement system analysis studies for both variables and attributes.
  • Conduct layered and product audits.
  • Ability to conduct roaming inspection and audits and provide feedback.
  • Ability to record and analyse scrapped parts.

  • Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace.
  • Address workplace hazards and risks.
  • Work safely and use safety equipment.
