An experienced ( B.SC / B.ENG) MECHANICAL ENGINEER is required for permanent employment based in the North Coast KZN region.

Produce and maintain detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
Generate and update Bills of Materials (BOM's) and engineering documentation.
Support manufacturing and workshop teams with technical information and design clarification.
Perform mechanical calculations, component selection and engineering reviews.
Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review drawings and specifications before manufacture.
Conduct site inspections and collect field measurements where required.
Liaise with customers regarding technical requirements and equipment solutions.
Interface with suppliers, procurement and project teams to ensure successful execution.
Assist with engineering data management and ERP system requirements.
Identify and resolve technical discrepancies and material compatibility issues.
Support ISO quality systems and engineering standards.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
Assist with project execution and equipment lifecycle support.
Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance departments.
Ensure compliance with company HSEQ and statutory requirements.
Contribute towards innovation, product improvement and customer satisfaction.

B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or B.Eng Mechanical Engineering.
3-5 years' experience in mechanical design and drafting.
Exposure to heavy engineering, machine building, fabrication or industrial equipment environments preferred.
Strong AutoCAD + Autodesk Inventor experience essential.
Solid understanding of mechanical components, materials and tolerances.
Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings and BOM structures.
Exposure to ERP systems and SAP advantageous.
Understanding of fabrication and workshop processes.
Ability to interpret engineering standards and specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Computer literate (MS Office).
High attention to detail.
Drivers licence advantageous.
Stable career history preferred.
