Head of Ecommerce Technology

Our client is looking for a Head of Ecommerce Technology to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior ecommerce professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness to drive digital growth and lead ecommerce technology initiatives.

• BSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (non-negotiable)

• Extensive experience in Ecommerce Engineering or Digital Commerce Platforms

• Experience with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar platforms

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Experience with React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks

• Backend development experience using Node.js, PHP, Python, or similar technologies

• Experience with REST APIs and system integrations

• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

• Strong business acumen and leadership ability

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Ecommerce Technology function and support digital growth initiatives

• Maintain, optimise, and enhance ecommerce platforms and websites

• Drive ecommerce technology strategy aligned to business objectives

• Manage integrations between ecommerce platforms and internal business systems

• Ensure platform performance, scalability, reliability, and security

• Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for improvement

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external technology partners

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance within the ecommerce environment
