Sales Administrator

Our client, a leading organisation within the manufacturing and construction chemicals industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Sales Administrator to join their Montague Gardens - Cape Town branch on a 3-month fixed-term contract.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all sales, stock, distribution, and credit-related activities are processed accurately and timeously while providing effective administrative support to the Sales function.

Please note that, due to an ongoing recruitment freeze, the role will remain on a fixed-term basis. While there is a possibility of contract renewal depending on business requirements, no permanent opportunity can be guaranteed at this stage.

Administration

  • Ensure all documentation and filing systems are maintained accurately and kept up to date.
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales Department.
  • Ensure the correct Business Units and Target Markets are invoiced.
  • Report any invoicing discrepancies to management promptly.

Sales Administration

  • Process distribution and industry orders accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Capture invoices accurately on the company ERP system.
  • Control and administer cash sales transactions.
  • Ensure all sales-related documentation is processed efficiently.

Stock Control

  • Assist with the reduction and management of credits.
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager regarding stock shortages and delivery requirements.
  • Communicate stock-related information effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate stock movement and stock rotation activities.
  • Assist with stock takes, stock counts, and inventory control processes.

General

  • Perform additional duties as reasonably required.
  • Ensure company property is used responsibly and maintained appropriately.
  • Maintain a professional image and uphold company standards at all times.
  • Matric / NQF 4 qualification.
  • 2–3 years' experience in a Sales Administration or similar administrative role.
  • Logistics qualification will be advantageous.
  • Experience processing sales orders, invoices, and stock-related transactions.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
  • Fixed-term contract: 3 months.
  • Salary: R10,000 – R11,000 per month, depending on experience and job-related knowledge.
  • Possibility of contract renewal based on business requirements.
  • Overtime may be required from time to time to meet operational requirements.
