Are you organised, patient-oriented, and ready to play a crucial role in Johannesburg Eye Hospital and Institute’s nursing team? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to fill a position in the Eye Ward.

You will be expected to practice within the prescribed Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses, as indicated by SANC.

Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care.

Always adheres to Patient’s Rights.

Prevents, reports, and manages Medico-legal risks.

Patient records and registers meet legal requirements.

Control of stock and equipment.

Identifies and addresses continuous professional development (CPD)needs.

Provides support to new employees and learners.

Ensures a therapeutic and safe patient environment by maintaining health and safety standards, complies with infection prevention protocols.

Maintains the principles of Quality client care principles.

Qualifications: Diploma or degree in General Nursing.

Is registered as a professional nurse in terms of section 31(1)(a) of the Nursing Act.

Proof of current SANC registration will be required.

Experience: at least 2- 3 years’ experience practising as a Registered Nurse in an ophthalmology or surgical ward.
