CCG Systems is an ICT sector and is well known to specialize in the implementation and support of ERP systems as well as Payroll & HR Systems to which our clients are made of mostly Municipalities throughout South Africa. Our company is looking for a potential candidate to join our Support team in the capacity of a Support Consultant, to be based at our head office.

The Budget Specialist (Sage 200) is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining organisational budgets within the Sage 200 ERP system. This role ensures accurate financial planning, reliable budget reporting, and compliance with internal controls. The specialist works closely with finance teams, department managers, and project leads to support informed decision making.

Must have

  • Valid code B driver’s license and own transport
  • Passed credit and criminal checks
  • S.A Citizen, Resident or Valid S.A Work Permit
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual and project-based budgets in collaboration with business units.
  • Load, update, and maintain budgets within Sage 200.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analyses.
  • Support rolling forecasts and mid-year budget reviews.
  • Assist clients with all budget activities including budget revisions
  • Manage budgeting functions within Sage 200 including configuration, reporting, and workflow alignment.
  • Develop customised budget reports using Sage 200 reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot budgeting-related issues and coordinate fixes with IT/Support
  • Implement budget controls and approval processes through Sage 200.
  • Upload and support the setup of MSCOA compliant Chart of Accounts
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports.
  • Support clients with their regulatory reporting requirements
  • Analyse spending trends and identify potential risks or overspend.
  • Provide recommendations for cost optimisation and improved financial efficiency.

Nice to have

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in budgeting or management accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 200
  • Strong proficiency in Sage 200, especially budgeting and financial modules.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data models).
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of cost structures.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
