Senior Tax Administrator - Cape Town

Our client, a well-established professional services firm based in Cape Town, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Administrator to join their team.

• Preparing and completing income tax returns and provisional tax computations across various tax types.
• Maintaining and updating client tax profiles on SARS eFiling.
• Managing and overseeing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance and service excellence.
• Handling tax and payroll compliance matters, including registrations, objections, disputes, and related queries.
• Managing SARS correspondence and attending SARS appointments where required.
• Preparing IT14SD reconciliations and responding to verification queries.
• Preparing dividend tax returns and attending to related compliance requirements.
• Consulting with clients and providing professional tax guidance.
• Preparing responses and compiling supporting documentation for SARS verification requests, audits, and queries relating to Income Tax, VAT (including Customs matters), and PAYE.
• Conducting tax research and providing technical opinions and advice on complex tax matters.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar tax administration role.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Income Tax, Provisional Tax, VAT, PAYE, and CGT.
• Experience working with SARS eFiling and tax compliance processes.
• Registration as a SARS Tax Practitioner would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with ProfSoft would be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform under pressure.

• Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable own transport.
