ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client, is seeking a highly skilled and professional Close Protection Officer to join their executive security team. This is a demanding role requiring vigilance, tactical proficiency, and a polished demeanor to ensure the principal's safety without compromising their lifestyle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of protective operations, including route planning, advance work, residential security, and close-proximity protection. Travel (both local and international) is a requirement of this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct physical protection to the principal and family members.
Conduct dynamic risk assessments and surveillance detection.
Perform defensive driving duties in varied traffic and weather conditions.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
Maintain meticulous records of daily activities and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements (mandatory Proof Required)
To be considered for this position, you must supply verifiable documentation for the following:
1.
PSIRA Registration
Copy of valid PSIRA Certificate (Grade A or B preferred).
Proof of current registration status with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority.
Grade 12
Note: Must be in good standing (no criminal record or pending disciplinary issues).

Accredited Training & Firearm Competency
Copy of Accredited Training Certificate (e.g., SAPS accredited or SASSETA).
Valid SAPS Competency Certificate (Business Purpose / Handgun) – must be renewed/valid.
Statement of Results for proficiency in Handgun, Shotgun, and Carbine (where applicable).
3.
CPO/VIP Protection Training
Certificate of completion for an accredited Close Protection/VIP Protection course (e.g., PSiRA accredited, IBA, or Executive Protection Institute).
Defensive Driving: Certificate of advanced/defensive driving (preferably high-performance driving).
First Aid & Emergency: Valid First Aid Level 2 or 3 Certificate (or equivalent).
Emergency Response: Advanced Trauma / Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) is a strong advantage.

Evasive driving or Tactical vehicle maneuvers.
Maritime/Anti-Piracy or Travel safety training
