Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent National Qualifications Framework (NQF) level
  • Proven experience in retail or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and queries efficiently
  • Effective communication skills for confidently addressing groups and writing professional correspondence
  • Advanced planning and organizing capabilities, including task prioritization and delegation
  • Excellent attention to detail to maintain high quality and professional standards
  • Demonstrated resilience in leading teams during challenging situations and setbacks
  • High ethical standards with integrity and reliability in workplace conduct

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shop floor operations to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock availability, investigating out-of-stock items, and communicating feedback to relevant departments.
  • Support and supervise team members by facilitating training, monitoring performance, and delegating tasks to maintain operational standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and till transactions promptly and professionally, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain product knowledge by staying informed about new stock lines, promotions, and adhering to ticketing standards.
  • Implement shop-keeping disciplines to ensure store readiness, including completing the Fashion, Beauty, and Home checklists.
  • Contribute to loss prevention by observing and reporting suspicious activities and enforcing security protocols.
  • Lead team meetings and support game plan initiatives to drive collective goals and operational improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to company uniform and professional presentation standards at all times.
  • Apply advanced planning, organizational, and analytical skills to optimize shop floor performance and resolve issues efficiently.
