In Lesotho, Data.FI supports the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the USG to design and implement digital HIS components, improve data use, and strengthen information security initiatives. The Receptionist will play a key operational support role in facilitating administrative coordination across these engagements by managing office communications, supporting meeting arrangements with stakeholders, and ensuring that documentation and logistics are handled efficiently.
The role will contribute to effective project operations by supporting internal coordination, maintaining organized records, and assisting with scheduling and logistical preparations for workshops, stakeholder meetings, and team activities. Working closely with project teams, partners, and government stakeholders, the Receptionist will help ensure smooth communication flow and provide essential administrative support that enables timely project delivery.
This position is based in Maseru, Lesotho. The fixed term of this assignment is 3 months, from July 2026 through September 2026.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, partners, and stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, and direct them appropriately
- Maintain the front office, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling, room bookings, and preparation of materials
- Support travel arrangements and administrative logistics for staff and visitors
- Maintain and update office records, contact lists, and filing systems (both physical and electronic)
- Assist with document management, printing, scanning, and distribution
- Provide administrative support to project teams, including data entry and basic reporting
- Support coordination of workshops, stakeholder meetings, and project events
- Track and manage office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely procurement
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for office-related needs
- Ensure compliance with organizational administrative procedures and protocols
- Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Cambridge Overseas School Certificate, or post matric certificate;
- At least 2 years of work experience in an office environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Honest and Reliable
- Self-motivated
- Local candidates only-no relocation expenses provided.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Lesotho.
Reporting And Supervision
- Reports to the Data.FI Finance and Administration Manager, Eswatini.
- Provision of regular updates.
- Other reporting as requested.
Relationships
- The role is part of the Data.FI Project Delivery Team and will work in coordination with the Finance and Administration team as well as project staff.
- This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.
Levels Of Authority
- Under the oversight of the Finance and Administration Manager, perform preliminary processing for assigned activities.
- Assist in responsibility for creating and maintaining procurement project files and documentation.

Contract Duration
The contract period is until September 30, 20264, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and funding availability.
