Grow, Innovate, Succeed! We have an incredible opportunity for a STORES ASSISTANT at I&J in Waterfront, Cape Town. In this role, you will need to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, issuing and control of engineering materials while maintaining stock integrity, HACCP compliance, operational efficiency and safe material handling practices.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Inventory Manager

Key Areas Of Impact

Material Issuing and Stock Control

• Verify SAP reservations and issue stock against the signed documentation.

Receiving and Verification of Stock

• Inspect deliveries against invoices and the delivery notes.

Housekeeping, HACCP and Safety Compliance

• Conduct daily housekeeping and safety inspections.

Forklift Operations and Material Handling

• Operate forklift safely for loading and offloading activities.

Inventory Support and Operational Assistance

• Conduct cycle counts and assist with operational requirement.

What It Takes To Succeed

Experience that set you up for success

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in engineering stores

Qualifications & Certifications That Will Contribute To Your Success

• Completed Grade 12 / Matric
• The ideal candidate will hold a formal qualification in Supply Chain or Stores management

Additional Requirements That Will Enhance Your Impact For Success

• Forklift license required
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Knowledge of engineering components
• HACCP and OHSA knowledge
