As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Sales Team.
Purpose of the Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and growing Solareff's Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sales division. This role will drive revenue growth by developing sales strategies, managing the sales pipeline, coaching and leading the Sales Executives, building strategic customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.
- An engineering qualification will be advantageous.
- Sales or management qualifications will be beneficial.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience in technical B2B sales.
- Minimum 5 years' experience leading a sales team.
- Proven success selling commercial and industrial solar PV and energy solutions.
- Strong understanding of EPC project sales.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Experience managing CRM systems and sales forecasting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop the Sales team.
- Set individual and team sales targets.
- Drive a high-performance sales culture through coaching and accountability.
- Conduct regular pipeline and performance reviews.
- Support the professional development of Sales Executives.
Business Development
- Develop and execute the C&I sales strategy.
- Identify new business opportunities across target industries.
- Grow market share and increase revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and strategic clients.
- Represent Solareff at industry events and networking opportunities.
Sales Management
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract award.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management using the CRM system.
- Drive conversion of qualified opportunities into signed contracts.
- Negotiate commercial terms with clients.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Project Delivery teams to ensure successful project handovers.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop long-term strategic customer partnerships.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Manage key accounts and identify opportunities for repeat business.
- Resolve commercial issues where required.
Strategy & Reporting
- Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Recommend improvements to pricing strategies and sales processes.
- Develop initiatives to improve sales effectiveness and customer acquisition.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Tender Manager regarding opportunities that require formal tender submissions.
- Collaborate with Engineering on technical solution development.
- Work with Marketing on lead generation campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
- Support executive management with strategic sales planning.
