Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Merchandiser and Buyers with the following administrative duties: raising orders, purchase orders, maintaining buyer assortment plans, compiling buyer brief sheets.
- Maintaining and building long term, successful supplier relationships - consistent and timeous response and communication.
- Liaising with Design Team regarding design requirements; design amendments; tech packs; TD’s and Cads etc.
- Full cycle garment development (end-to-end process).
- Tagging all samples with sample numbers.
- Scanning and photographing entire range.
- Compiling pre-packs and communicating additional order information to suppliers (CAD’s, Colours, Artwork, Specs, etc.)
- Measuring where necessary, assisting with QA process and fittings, assisting with technical amendments if required.
- Supporting the team in all activities on a daily basis designed to ensure achievement of department budgets.
- Maintaining and arranging buyer samples according to predetermined instructions.
- Meeting required deadlines as per critical path.
- Maintaining good relationships while liaising with suppliers on behalf of buyer.
- Keeping abreast of competition - comp visits, store visits, etc.
- Are you currently (or very recently) a Ladieswear Junior Buyer or Junior Merchandiser WITHIN the Fashion Retail industry or the Clothing Manufacturing industry?
- Have you successfully completed a Fashion related Degree or 3 Year National Diploma?
- Do you have strong Excel skills?
- Do you have experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop?
- Do you have 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Ladieswear Junior Buyer or Junior Merchandiser?
Salary Range: +- R18,000 to R24,000 Cost to company per month (please note that salary will be dependent on the candidates current job level, years of relevant product and industry experience, tertiary education, etc.)
