Position: Senior Chauffeur

Grade: F

Number of Positions: 2

Reports To: Judge

Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for driving the Honourable Judges of the High Court at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive the Honourable Judges of the High Court.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections before long journeys, including checking:
    • Engine oil
    • Fuel levels
    • Wheel studs
    • Brakes
    • Lights
    • Speedometer
    • Mirrors
    • Water levels
    • Tyres
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks and route orders.
  • Clean and maintain the Judges’ vehicle, including the engine.

Minimum Requirements

Option 1

  • COSC/LGCSE qualification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a driver.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of an assessment test conducted by the Traffic Commissioner’s Office – Traffic Department.
  • Ability to work during irregular and extended hours.

OR

Option 2

  • GCE qualification.
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a driver.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Successful completion of an assessment test conducted by the Traffic Commissioner’s Office – Traffic Department.
  • Ability to work during irregular and extended hours.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Punctuality.
  • Courtesy and professionalism.
  • Strong sense of responsibility.
