Position: Business Analyst

Job Details

Department: ICT

Reports To: ICT Strategy and Project Manager

Number of Positions: 1

Job Purpose

The ICT Business Analyst will be responsible for enhancing the quality of ICT products and services, analysing data to support decision-making, and identifying technological solutions to meet organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the implementation of ICT policies within the Ministry and its related organizations.
Monitor adherence to ICT policies by users.
Develop service delivery plans and approaches in collaboration with the Project Manager to mitigate risks and meet project timelines.
Document product and system specifications, including:

System Flows
Product Requirement Documents (PRD)
Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)
Training Manuals
User Manuals

Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to ensure successful delivery of quality solutions.
Review and evaluate existing systems and redesign or modify them to meet business and user requirements.
Develop test cases and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Review test results and manage UAT sign-off processes.
Conduct user and system training and provide support.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, prepare progress reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications And Experience

Applicants must possess:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Additional Advantage

Certification in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Project Management from a recognized institution.

Experience Requirements

Option 1

Minimum of four (4) years relevant working experience.
At least two (2) years must have been served at Systems Support level in business/systems analysis or an equivalent position in Government or a reputable organization.

OR

Option 2

Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years working experience at Systems Support level in Government or a reputable organization.
