Registered Nurse, Theatre Trained

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Trained Registered Nurse to join a busy surgical unit in Pietermaritzburg. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional with broad theatre exposure and a commitment to delivering exceptional perioperative patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care within the Operating Theatre environment
• Assist with patient preparation and support throughout surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols
• Scrub and circulate across various surgical disciplines as required
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical standards

Requirements

• Registered with SANC
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Post Basic qualification in Theatre Nursing
• Experience working across multiple theatre disciplines
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
