Part-time tutor/ mentor for a teenage boy

A family in the area seeking a reliable, mature young male student to mentor and tutor a teenage boy. Candidate should ideally be studying/ teaching or coaching. Role is for a few afternoons per week. A great opportunity to make a difference in a young persons life.

Role includes:

• light Academic tutoring
• Life mentoring, character building & guidance
• Taking learner on outdoor activities and visits to local areas
• Sports coaching
• Occasional transport/help with after-school activities

Prerequisites for the role

• Male candidate with strong christian faith
• Based in the Ballito area or 20 km radius within
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle essential
• English first language and home language
• Completion of matric certificate and studying towards under/ post graduate degree
• Working part time - this role is for a few afternoons per week
• Involved in team or individual sports at school (Coaching experience an advantage)
• Experience with working with children
• Someone of good moral character with character references available

• Between 20 and 30 y/o
• Someone energetic and enthusiastic who enjoys sports
• Currently teaching or working in a coaching capacity/ studying part-time
• Someone with strong leadership abilities wanting to make a difference in someones life
• Someone working in or interested in the educational space
• Someone interested in helping a young person with learning delays
• Someone with teaching experience

Hourly rate of around R150 per hour, experience dependent
