A reputable engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced

Construction Supervisor to join their team on a project-based contract at a leading mining operation in Rustenburg.

The successful candidate will provide on-site supervision of earthworks and mining infrastructure construction activities, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline will be advantageous. Proven experience supervising civil construction or bulk earthworks projects. Previous experience on mining or heavy industrial construction sites. Sound understanding of earthworks construction methods, quality assurance and site safety. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong contractor management and coordination skills. Valid driver's licence. Must be willing to work on-site in Rustenburg for the duration of the project. Advantageous Experience Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF) Waste Rock Dumps (WRD) Mine infrastructure projects Bulk earthworks Pollution Control Dams (PCDs) Return Water Dams HDPE/Geomembrane lining works Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day earthworks and construction activities on site. Monitor contractor performance, productivity and resource utilisation. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards. Coordinate activities between contractors, mine operations and the project team. Monitor construction progress against the project schedule. Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise delays. Verify that all works are completed in accordance with approved engineering drawings and specifications. Prepare progress reports and communicate construction updates to the project team.
