MPVR is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Senior to join our growing team as we continue to expand our international client portfolio.

This is a permanent opportunity, ideally suited to candidates based in Durban (KZN), operating on a hybrid model of 2 days in-office and 3 days remote. Exceptional candidates outside Durban may be considered for fully remote arrangements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Audit Senior at MPVR, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a portfolio of international clients.

You will work closely with a specific client while remaining fully employed by MPVR and fully integrated into our team structure, leadership, and development environment.

This role offers strong exposure to UK-based clients, with Irish market experience considered highly advantageous.

IMPORTANT EMPLOYMENT STRUCTURE

- This is a permanent role directly with MPVR

- You will be assigned to international client work as part of your role

- You remain fully employed by MPVR at all times

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and execute audit engagements from planning through to completion

- Prepare and review financial statements in line with UK GAAP / IFRS

- Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact

- Supervise, coach and review work of junior team members

- Identify audit risks and provide insights and recommendations

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

- CA(SA) or AGA(SA) qualification (essential)

- BCom Honours or equivalent

- 2–3 years post-articles audit experience

- Proven UK audit/accounting experience (essential)

- Exposure to Irish regulatory environment (advantageous)

- Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting standards

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a hybrid/remote environment

LOCATION & WORK MODEL

- Durban-based candidates preferred

- Hybrid model: 2 days in office and 3 days remote

- Fully remote options considered for exceptional candidates outside Durban
