Technical IT Support Consultant - near Kloof Durban

National vehicle tracking and fleet management system compnay with branches nationwide inclu internatinal - this role is based in DURBAN

Employment opportunity at Head Office in kloof / Gillitts for a Technical Support Controller. This is a first tier support position to the Engineering team.

The candidate will liaise with all levels of staff

providing the necessary systems support and feedback. Good interpersonal skills and a confident

ability to communicate clearly.

Previous experience, or completed courses in IT / systems / technical background will be

advantageous.

Must have experience with SIM recons and billing.

Extensive server knowledge is key.

- Male or Female

- Salary: R10,000 to R15,000 per month depending on experience, with R700 medical aid

contribution, provided the candidate produces a valid medical membership certificate.

- To commence at earliest availability.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES

1. Tracking unit health check

2. Validation of tracking units for repairs

3. Camera health check

4. Validation of camera units for repairs

5. Investigating / Troubleshooting tracking unit / camera issues in the field

6. Assisting Technicians with installations

7. Pairing of auto remotes for customers when KAS are unavailable to do so

8. Daily AutoFuel checks

9. Quality checks for all Installations and Repairs

10. Job card sign off

11. Daily check of bookings to remove bookings that were not attended so they can be rebooked.

12. Communication with customers who do not have tracking units reporting and collating and

updating the ERP with customer replies.

13. Saturday half day work on rotational basis

14. Website Report Checks on Weekly rotational basis

15. Camera footage weekly checks

JUNIOR IT ASSISTANCE

1. Understanding of how the Autotrak network fits together

2. After hour networking support as required.

3. After hour server support.

4. Basic understanding of Windows and Linux environments.

5. After hour technician support as required

6. Basic desktop and device support as and when required
