Junior Mechanical Designer to join their team.

In this role, you will:

  • Prioritize Safety: Work safely by adhering to company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, manuals, and procedures. Always consider the health, safety, and welfare of colleagues, visitors, clients, the community, and the environment.
  • Produce Mechanical Drawings: Create mechanical drawings that align with accepted engineering practices and company drafting standards.
  • Develop 3D Modelling Skills: Learn and utilize the Aveva E3D 3D Modelling software to build equipment models from vendor-supplied 2D drawings.

POSITION INFO

Responsibilities: 3D CAD design modelling and 2D drafting annotations. Modelling of 2D Vendor drawings into 3D Models, Detailed design and production of mechanical models and drawings encompassing all aspects of a Mining Processing plant construction package in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements. Timely completion of mechanical deliverables to schedules. Adherence to project man-hour budgets. Adherence to company standards and procedures. Miscellaneous tasks such as vendor works inspections, material take-offs, standard drawings, and detail drawings. Production of drawings in accordance with established procedures, i.e., internal review, client review, checking, etc. Clarity and accuracy of drawings. Work closely with consultants, other disciplines, and Project/Study Managers to ensure that client’s objectives are met in a timely manner. Ensure compliance and take initiative for safety and environmental issues Qualification & Experience: Tertiary Technical Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (National Diploma, BTech, BEng, BSc) Basic 3D Modelling in any 3D Modelling package Adaptable and agile to the working environment. Proficient with the complete Microsoft Office Suite of products. (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
