ABOUT THE ROLE
Africote is seeking a results-driven External Sales Representative to expand our market presence and strengthen client relationships.
This role is ideal for a performance-focused individual with a passion for external sales and an eye for design. You will play a key role in promoting our products, building strong industry relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service while growing our client base.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate new business & grow customer base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and contractors.
Conduct site visits, product presentations, and client follow-ups.
Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to regional growth.
Represent the brand professionally in all client interactions.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years’ experience in external sales.
Industry knowledge.
Driver’s license and own car.
Strong ability to generate leads and close deals.
Must reside in or around Cape Town.
skills and beneficial requirements
Experience within the paint, coatings, construction, or building-materials sector.
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to confidently demonstrate products to clients.
Proven ability to identify new markets, analyse customer needs, and convert leads into long-term accounts.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a consultative and solution-driven sales approach.
Strong organisational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to plan territory and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general digital tools; CRM experience is an added advantage.
Self-motivated, resilient, and able to thrive in a competitive sales environment.
