You're part strategist, part data detective, and part spreadsheet whisperer. You get a little too excited about ROAS, live for A/B tests, and know exactly when to scale, pause, or pivot. You can lead a team, challenge the status quo, and turn millions in ad spend into measurable growth without breaking a sweat. If dashboards make you happy, performance marketing is your love language, and you're always chasing the next big win, you'll fit right in.
Responsibilities
Paid Media Strategy
Develop and execute the overall Paid Media strategy across Google, Meta, TikTok and emerging channels.
Align channel strategies to company revenue, acquisition and profitability objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve scale, efficiency and customer acquisition.
Continuously evaluate new platforms, products and beta opportunities.
Channel Management & Optimisation
Oversee campaign strategy and execution across:
Google Search
Performance Max
Shopping
Demand Gen
YouTube
Meta Ads
TikTok Ads
App Campaigns
Dynamic Remarketing
Ensure campaigns are continuously optimised against agreed KPIs.
Drive testing frameworks across creatives, audiences, bidding strategies and landing experiences.
Maintain strong platform health and best-practice implementation.
Budget Management
Manage and optimise significant annual media budgets.
Forecast spend, traffic, revenue and return expectations.
Monitor pacing and profitability throughout the month.
Make strategic investment decisions based on performance and business priorities.
Campaign Planning & Marketing Enablement
Act as the paid media subject matter expert across the business.
Consult with Brand, CRM, Commercial and Creative teams during campaign planning.
Develop full-funnel paid media recommendations to support business objectives.
Create and maintain paid media chaselists and channel rollout plans for major campaigns.
Provide strategic guidance on channel selection, audience targeting, messaging and media allocation.
Review campaign briefs, creative concepts and copy to ensure suitability for each platform and funnel stage.
Conduct pre-launch quality assurance reviews to ensure campaigns are built according to best practice.
Ensure campaign messaging remains consistent across paid channels while adapting to platform-specific requirements.
Identify opportunities to maximise campaign reach, efficiency and commercial impact through paid media.
Educate internal stakeholders on paid media best practices and platform capabilities.
Partner with the Brand team to ensure creative assets are developed with platform requirements and performance objectives in mind.
Strategic Marketing & Commercial Acumen
Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing principles and customer acquisition strategies.
Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into paid media strategies and channel plans.
Experience developing integrated campaign plans across awareness, consideration, conversion and retention stages.
Strong understanding of eCommerce trading dynamics, promotional planning and customer behaviour.
Ability to evaluate campaign performance beyond platform metrics, linking activity to revenue, profitability and business outcomes.
Experience making budget allocation decisions across channels based on commercial priorities and expected return.
Ability to challenge campaign briefs and provide strategic recommendations to improve performance outcomes.
Strong understanding of creative effectiveness, messaging frameworks and platform-specific best practices.
Team Leadership
Lead the Paid Media team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Support career development and succession planning with the Digital Lead
Foster a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
Measurement & Reporting
Monitor and report on channel performance against business KPIs.
Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities for growth.
Work closely with Analytics and Technology teams to ensure tracking accuracy.
Translate complex performance data into actionable business insights.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business or a related field.
4-6 years’ experience in Paid Media or Performance Marketing.
Minimum 2 years’ experience managing people.
Proven experience managing large-scale paid media budgets.
Strong eCommerce experience.
Deep expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads.
Experience with TikTok Ads.
Strong understanding of attribution and measurement.
Experience using GA4.
Excellent analytical and commercial decision-making skills.
