SUMMARY
An established hospitality group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Maintenance Foreman to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations of a busy hotel property. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all building services, plant equipment, electrical systems, and guest facilities are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring a safe, compliant, and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities Supervise the daily activities of the maintenance team and allocate work effectively. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems. Lead electrical fault finding, repairs, installations, and upgrades. Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and statutory regulations. Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers. Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure planned maintenance is completed on time. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and asset registers. Manage maintenance budgets and control departmental costs. Ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations while maintenance activities are carried out. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, plant rooms, and back-of-house facilities. Assist with refurbishment projects and capital improvement initiatives. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance management to maintenance staff. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Minimum Requirements Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal) - Essential. National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field will be advantageous. Minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience within the hospitality, commercial property, healthcare, or facilities management environment. At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or foreman role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, generators, UPS systems, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and general building maintenance. Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes. Knowledge of statutory compliance, safety regulations, and contractor management. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Valid driver's licence. Key Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills.
