Job Summary
Under the general supervision of Assistant Farm Manager the Farm Attendant shall be responsible of the following duties.
Job Description
- Responsible for the daily machine milking and feeding.
- Responsible for the general health and well-being of the herd.
- Responsible for the stud flocks of both Merinos and Angoras.
- Responsible for daily running of the layer flock and broilers.
- Responsible for daily running of the stud pig herd and progeny.
- To ensure the proper maintenance and care of all farm equipment.
- To maintain a constant watch for signs of ill health in stock.
- To ensure the tidiness of the Farm.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by Assistant Farm Manager and Principal.
Job Specification
- An honest and reliable approach to work (male).
Working Conditions – Unfavorable working conditions
The Job Requires The Incumbent To
- Work beyond normal working hours, during weekends and public holidays.
Hazards
The Incumbent May
- Be at risk of physical attack by the students, the employees and student’s parents/guardians on expressing any dissatisfaction.
- Be exposed to allergies due to snakes and livestock.
