IZI Secure welcomes applications from all qualified individuals for immediate vacancies as Tactical Response Unit Officers . Location: Gauteng Role Overview We are seeking vigilant and professional Tactical Response Unit Officers to protect company premises and assets. This role requires composure under pressure, strict adherence to policies, and a strong commitment to security protocols. Key Responsibilities Monitor driver and crew compliance with company procedures throughout operations. Promptly report any faulty or defective equipment. Maintain clear and continuous communication with the Control Room and armoured vehicles. Accurately complete the daily road check inspection checklist. Immediately report any breaches of operational procedures to the Supervisor. Ensure ongoing adherence to all on-road operational policies and protocols. Escort bulk banking and other armoured vehicles in designated high-risk areas. Provide protection to armoured vehicles during breakdowns or following security incidents. Alert the National Control Centre (NCC) and Joint Operations Centre (JOC) Controller of potential robbery threats based on intelligence, ensuring relevant authorities are informed. Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, providing immediate assistance to stabilise situations. Support emergency services on-site and provide timely updates to the Control Room. When making arrests without police presence, apply minimum force and follow arrest procedures in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Act. Utilise protection methods appropriate to the threat level, avoiding disruption to operations or unnecessary risk to life. Share sensitive information strictly on a "need to know" basis. Defend against attacks within the bounds of the law. Report all safety incidents promptly and ensure they are discussed at all organisational levels. Follow up on actions assigned via safety meetings, committees, representatives, or management. Attend safety training and refresher courses as required. Fully comply with all workplace safety policies and procedures. Distribute safety information as necessary to colleagues and stakeholders. Wear protective clothing at all times while on duty. Minimum Requirements Matric / Grade 12 certificate. PSIRA Grade C certification. Valid and current Regulation 21 certification. Cash-In-Transit certification. Armed Response certification. Valid driving licence. Business Firearm Competency certification for both handgun and rifle use. Medical fitness certificate authorising firearm use. Clear credit and criminal records. A minimum of three years' relevant experience in Cash-In-Transit or Armed Response operations. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Proficiency in the use of technology and digital tools. Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.
