About The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Finance Administrator to join a dynamic and growing finance team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of finance functions while providing direct support to senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance department through accurate processing, administration, reporting support, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
  • Manage creditor accounts and supplier payments.
  • Ensure supplier records are maintained and up to date.
  • Monitor supplier agreements and commercial terms.

Accounts Receivable

  • Process customer invoicing.
  • Monitor incoming payments.
  • Assist with debtor account administration and follow-ups.

Cash and Banking Administration

  • Manage petty cash processes.
  • Process payments and banking transactions.
  • Assist with maintaining banking profiles and administration.

Reconciliations

  • Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation.

Financial Reporting Support

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and reports.
  • Provide financial information for management review.

Financial Analysis

  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Support finance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Compile information for management decision-making.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage filing and document control.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial processes and procedures.

Process Improvement

  • Assist with implementing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
  • Support internal control and governance initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function.

Essential

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeping Assistant, or similar finance-related role.
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payment processing.
  • Experience working on accounting software.
  • Strong Excel and administration skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work from the Waterfall, Midrand area.
