SUMMARY

A well-established organisation operating in a highly regulated, technology-driven industry is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join its finance leadership team in Cape Town. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing business with local and international operations.

POSITION INFO

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the finance function and oversee day-to-day financial operations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements. Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes. Develop and maintain robust financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks. Manage statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and relevant stakeholders. Provide financial analysis and strategic support to executive management. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Support project costing, contract management, and business growth initiatives. Minimum Requirements Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional membership with SAIPA is essential. Minimum of 5 years'' post-qualification experience in a Financial Manager or similar senior finance role. Strong knowledge of South African financial reporting standards, taxation, and corporate governance requirements. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Proven leadership and team management experience. Preferred Experience Experience within the defence, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or other project-based industries would be advantageous. Exposure to export-focused businesses and complex contractual environments is preferred. Experience operating within a highly regulated industry will be beneficial.
