Mountain Kingdom Drops is looking for a detail-driven Accountant to handle financial records, cost analysis, budgeting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of transactions
Cost Accounting
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, labour costs, and overheads
- Calculate product costing and conduct profitability analysis
- Track production variances and recommend corrective actions
- Support pricing decisions through cost analysis
Inventory Management
- Reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory
- Monitor inventory valuation and obsolescence
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Verify supplier invoices and process payments
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile vendor and customer statements
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor departmental spending against budgets
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
- Maintain strong internal financial controls
- Prepare tax returns and statutory submissions where applicable
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare production and operational financial reports
- Analyse manufacturing efficiency and operational costs
- Provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost control
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Revenue Management
- Reconcile daily sales reports
- Manage bank deposits
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date filing system for financial records and supplier invoices
Qualifications
- Degree in BCom Accounting
- Experience in Cost or Management Accounting will be an advantage
