POSITION INFO
Our client is a well-established and growing professional services firm specializing in accounting, taxation, and financial advisory services. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality, tailored solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients across South Africa. As a Tax Consultant / Accountant, you will manage a full accounting and tax function portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing annual financial statements, optimizing tax strategies, and ensuring strict compliance with SARS regulations while working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full accounting function up to Trial Balance for a diverse client portfolio. Produce accurate monthly management reports. Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors using CaseWare . Prepare and submit income tax and VAT returns for individuals, companies, and trusts. Handle all SARS correspondence, including filing notices of objection and applications for suspension of debt on eFiling. Provide sound, professional advice on tax and accounting matters to clients. Travel to client sites as required to maintain strong working relationships. Requirements: A completed Accounting Degree (non-negotiable). Completed articles are essential. 3 to 5 years of post-article experience within an accounting firm or environment. Imperative working knowledge and experience with both Pastel and CaseWare. Strong competency and hands-on experience with SARS eFiling. Professional affiliation with SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, or SAIBA is highly preferred. Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable). Attributes: Ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet strict statutory deadlines. Strong professional conduct and exceptional communication skills. Analytical mind with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving. Remuneration: R35 000 - R37 000 monthly
