SUMMARY

Our client is looking for an Erecting Machine Technician to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual with experience in servicing and repairing carton erecting machines. The role involves travelling to various customer sites to perform maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs. A company vehicle will be provided for business travel.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) 3-5 years' technical and/or agricultural experience in servicing and repairing machinery Experience working with different types of erecting machines Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with excellent attention to detail Valid Code 8 driver's licence Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with customers at all levels Self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented, and a strong team player Willingness to work after hours, overtime, and weekends when required Key Responsibilities: Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on company and customer erecting machines across various customer sites Conduct planned and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on erecting machines Respond to customer call-outs and conduct packhouse visits as required Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards Represent the company professionally while delivering high-quality technical support and customer service
