FORD TECHNICIAN –WESTERN CAPE

Our client is looking for a Ford Motor Vehicle Technician with at least 5 years’ experience as a technician to join their dealership based in the Western Cape.

The ideal candidate will be flexible in approach, have excellent productivity and efficiency levels, and be able to work as part of a team. Only if you can start asap.

As a Technician, Your Key Objectives Will Be

You will be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing including diagnostics and electronics.

You must be able to produce high quality work in a busy motor trade environment and be motivated through set targets, showing flexibility according to the needs of your team.

You must hold a full clean driving licence, be a committed individual and be able to work well in a team environment.

To perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to Company and Manufacturer’s standards.

• To advise Workshop Foreman if additional work is required on a vehicle and seek his assistance and authority in the rectification of faults.
• To supervise and assist with the training of any apprentice when requested by Senior Technician or Service Executive.
• To maintain a high level of competence for the work to be undertaken by undergoing on-site training, attending courses at suppliers and manufacturer’s and reading technical bulletins as required.
• To discuss with customers, problems with the vehicle as requested (Total Involvement)
• To ensure the Company image of professionalism and quality of service is maintained when dealing with customers.
• To operate equipment and carry out all duties in a safe manner.
• To maintain equipment, protective clothing and work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
• To assist management with the introduction of new methods of work designed to improve efficiency.
