Senior Store Manager – Retail Clothing

POSITION INFO

Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric (essential); relevant retail or business qualification advantageous 3-5+ years retail experience, with proven experience in a senior supervisory or store management role Duties: Oversee full store operations, ensuring smooth daily running of the retail outlet. Lead, manage, and motivate store teams to achieve sales targets and performance goals. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase turnover and profitability. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and take corrective action where needed. Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently maintained across all departments. Manage stock control processes including ordering, receiving, merchandising, and stock takes. Ensure visual merchandising aligns with brand standards and seasonal campaigns. Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve complex service issues professionally. Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and discipline where necessary. Control store expenses, cash handling, banking, and financial reconciliation processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and retail regulations. Liaise with head office, suppliers, and regional management regarding store performance and operations. Drive staff productivity and ensure accountability across all departments. Identify opportunities for growth, promotions, and improved store performance.
