ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong ABAP development skills including object-oriented ABAP and entity modelling.
• Experience with SAPUI5 / Fiori front-end development.
• Hands-on experience with BAPIs, BADIs and the Enhancement Framework.
• Knowledge of integration with external systems (oData/File-Based/SOAP/iDoc).
• Experience building and consuming OData services for UI5/Fiori applications.
• Experience with integration patterns between SAP and non SAP systems (web services, interfaces).
• Strong troubleshooting, unit testing and technical documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• Functional understanding of SAP FICO modules.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Knowledge of SAP Basis, transport management and release upgrade processes.
• Java/JavaScript experience for Fiori extensibility and custom services.
• Exposure to UI/UX design principles for enterprise applications.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for delivery and documentation.
• German language skills (advantageous).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding & interpreting business requirements.
• Design and develop custom ABAP programs, reports and enhancements to support SAP FICO processes.
• Develop and maintain SAPUI5/Fiori applications and associated OData services. {1}
• Implement interfaces and integrations between SAP and external systems (IDoc, web services, APIs).
• Translate business requirements from the FICO functional team into technical designs and deliverables.
• Participate in solution design workshops with stakeholders and provide technical recommendations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including design specs, unit test plans and deployment notes.
• Perform unit testing, support integration testing and resolve defects in a timely manner.
• Support cutover and go live activities including transports and weekend support when required.
• Optimize performance of custom programs and interfaces in the SAP landscape. {2}
• Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and work with operations to resolve issues.
• Proactively propose technical improvements and automation opportunities for FICO processes.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate within an agile multi-disciplinary team.
• Regular alignment with stakeholders and product owners.
• Support & maintenance of existing and new applications / systems.
• Assist throughout the entire software lifecycle from design, customising, testing, go live and operate.
• Potential travel to meet our counterparts in Germany when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Related IT, Computer Science, or Software Development degree.
• 3+ Years experience working with ABAP and SAPUI5
• Relevant SAP Certifications will be advantageous but are not mandatory.
