Logistics Administrator

The purpose of this position is to support the Logistics team with administrative duties, including reporting on execution of logistics operations & preparing paperwork.

  • Report on benchmark vs actual rates
  • Attend to all returns and rejections
  • Attend to and escalate customer complaints
  • Report on rejection lead times
  • Actively supervise daily delivery schedules and progress thereof
  • Daily report of any deviations to the Logistics team
  • Assist Logistics Supervisor with all administrative duties regarding truck and driver readiness and measurement
  • Arrange and administer driver allowances, as per schedules
  • Compile all returns for calculation per truck purposes
  • Compile diesel consumption values for each truck
  • Collate and capture all fuel and toll invoices
  • Compile incident reports (i.e. accidents)
  • Internal customer service
  • General administration
  • Open sales order (SO) management
  • Compile and assist with cross-border & export paperwork

Health and Safety

  • Participate in safety forums created by SOILL for example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings/committees/representatives/management
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at SOILL
  • Distribute safety information as and when required
  • Always wear protective clothing (where applicable)

Qualification and Experience

  • Grade 12
  • 2 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literacy on MS Office, with specific reference to Excel
