Role Description

The Finance Clerk (YES candidates) role at a client of EconoBEE is a full-time, on-site position based in Middleburg, Johannesburg. The Finance Clerk supports day-to-day financial administration, including capturing and reconciling financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with basic bookkeeping activities. Responsibilities include preparing and processing invoices, tracking payments, updating ledgers, and assisting with financial reporting as required by senior finance staff. The role also involves communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries, support compliance-related documentation, and ensure timely, accurate financial information. This position is designed to provide practical exposure to finance and compliance in a professional consulting environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance and Bookkeeping skills, including basic accounting principles and accurate record-keeping.
  • Candidates should possess Invoicing and related billing administration skills, including processing, tracking, and reconciling payments.
  • Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support error-free reporting.
  • Candidates should possess Communication skills to engage clearly with colleagues, clients, and suppliers regarding financial queries.
  • Relevant qualification or coursework in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic familiarity with accounting or ERP software is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment are important.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in the YES programme to gain practical workplace experience.
