Equipment Engineer - Mechatronics Location: CPT - Southern Suburbs Seniority Level: Mid Career Type: Permanent Sectors: Engineering and Technical Job Description We are currently seeking an Equipment Engineer with a background in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering to join our well-known client in the Western Cape region. This role will report to the Manager and will involve supporting equipment within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Duties and Responsibilities Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering. 5+ years' relevant engineering experience. Experience with pneumatics and mechanical systems. Experience supporting equipment within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Experience investigating equipment failures and implementing corrective actions. Experience interacting with customers and suppliers. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally as required for customer support, equipment commissioning, and supplier engagement. Advantageous Qualifications and Skills CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred). Automation and controls exposure. Reliability engineering. Preventative maintenance planning. Root cause analysis methodologies. Experience working with outsourced manufacturing partners. Requirements Grade 12 and 3 years degree. Able to travel internationally. 5 years experience in a similar role. Skills in Pneumatics, Mechanical Systems, Industrial Manufacturing, FAT Testing, Commissioning, and Preventative Maintenance
