Insolvency Case Administrator

Hudson Weir

Insolvency Case Administrator - Remote, UK HoursR25,000 per month (dependent on experience)

  • South Africa-based, fully remote
  • Full-time
  • 09:00–17:00 UK time

Real UK casework, from day one. You'll work directly on live corporate insolvency cases for a specialist restructuring firm in Central London - one of the fastest-growing in the UK. This isn't back-office support or admin dressed up with a title.

Our South African team sits inside the real casework: drafting statutory reports, corresponding with creditors and directors, and helping move live cases forward. Your letters and reports go out under our licensed practitioners' names. That's the level of trust the role carries - and it's why we're particular about who we hire.

We teach the field. You bring the thinking.

Insolvency is niche, technical, and recession-resilient - when the economy turns, this is the work that gets busier. You don't need any prior insolvency experience: we train all of it from scratch. What we can't train is the raw ability - so we're looking for someone genuinely numerate, analytical, and a strong writer, who picks things up fast and takes ownership rather than waiting to be told. In return you'll build real expertise in financial analysis, legal process, and investigation work that most early-career roles can't offer for years, with a defined path to progress as you grow.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting licensed insolvency practitioners on live UK corporate cases
  • Drafting statutory reports, creditor correspondence, and case documentation
  • Reviewing company records and bank statements to help build a picture of each case
  • Liaising professionally with creditors, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Maintaining case records, schedules, and statutory deadlines
  • Working in specialist insolvency software alongside Word, Excel, and Teams

Who thrives here

  • Strong written English above all - clear, precise, professional. Your writing represents the firm.
  • Numerate and analytical - comfortable working through figures and spotting what doesn't add up
  • A fast learner who's organised, self-directed, and reliable working remotely
  • A degree (any discipline), or Matric with a Bachelor's pass and at least 65% in Maths
  • Ambitious about building a career in a specialist field - not filling a gap

What we offer

  • R25,000 per month, dependent on experience
  • 20 days annual leave plus UK public holidays
  • Structured training and a defined progression path
  • A foot in the door of UK insolvency practice - rare, and hard to get any other way

Remote working requirements (non-negotiable)

  • Fibre internet, minimum 20 Mbps up and down (a speed-test screenshot is requested before offer)
  • Backup power that runs your workstation, monitor and router for at least 4 hours - UPS, inverter, or solar
  • A quiet, dedicated workspace - not a shared room, not the kitchen table
  • Your own laptop or desktop meeting our minimum specs (shared at interview)
