External Sales Representative (Consultant)

The Talent Experts

Take charge of a growing region and leave your mark on the construction industry.

Is this you?

You're a driven, relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys being out in the field and taking ownership. Working independently comes naturally to you and you're comfortable managing your own diary while building long-term relationships with contractors, architects, developers and retailers. Organised, resilient and commercially astute, you thrive in a role where every day is different and your results are a direct reflection of your effort.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)

You'll take ownership of growing the Gauteng territory by developing new business while strengthening relationships with existing customers. Your days will be spent visiting construction sites, architects, designers, developers and retail partners, promoting a premium range of construction materials and identifying new project opportunities. Alongside managing the full sales cycle, you'll maintain CRM records, coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams, assist with stock requirements and ensure orders are delivered efficiently. You'll enjoy this role because it offers genuine autonomy, variety and the opportunity to establish a strong regional presence while being backed by an experienced and supportive leadership team.

Where you'll be doing it

You'll be joining a long-established South African manufacturer with over five decades of experience producing premium construction materials. Known for exceptional quality, sustainable manufacturing practices and continuous investment in innovation, the business has built an outstanding reputation within the industry. Although you'll manage your own Gauteng territory, you'll receive comprehensive product training and ongoing support from an experienced team committed to helping you succeed.

What you'll need

You'll have proven external sales experience, ideally within the construction, building materials or related industry. A Matric qualification is essential, while a tertiary qualification would be advantageous. Experience working with contractors, architects, developers or retailers will stand you in good stead. Strong relationship-building skills, excellent organisation, commercial awareness and confidence working independently are key. A valid driver's licence, your own reliable transport and being based in Pretoria or Centurion are essential.

What you'll get

A competitive package including a basic salary, company vehicle after successful completion of your three-month probation, cell phone allowance and provident fund contribution. More importantly, you'll join a respected business that values integrity, quality and long-term relationships, offering genuine stability and the opportunity to grow your career while making a meaningful impact in an expanding region.
