Qualified Lathe Turner Machinist

We are a leading, rapidly expanding engineering manufacturer seeking an experienced

Turner Machinist to join our team.

As a Lathe Turner, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality precision parts using conventional lathes.

• General responsibility for production machining on conventional equipment
• Setup, operate and produce components on lathe and drilling machine operations
• Generate and create custom machine components from drawings / concept
• Manage and Support all product, tooling and quality processes
• General skills turning / grind
• Final Machining OD and ID (includes journals)
• Final Machining of threads, of tapers
• Final Machining of shafts, pins, bushes, sleeves
• On lathe drilling, grooving, facing, parting
• On lathe reaming, boring, tapping

1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and manufacture components to relevant tolerance & standards (required 0.02-0.04 finish tolerances)

2. Machining processes would include experience and exposure to ISO or equivalent quality management system

1. 8+ Years of Experience as a Lathe Turner Machinist

2. Proficiency in operating conventional lathe

   350swing x 3000m up to 850swing x 6000m length

   Medium to heavy componentry

   Roll / Shaft shop experience would be a plus

3. Measure and Verify parts to ensure accuracy & compliance (required 0.02-0.04 finish tolerances)

4. Urgent availablity is paramount

5. Relocation to West Coast with anticipated start date 31 July 2026
