Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualifications
Valid Blasting / Rock Breaking Certificate for a Metalliferous Mine
Conventional development, trackless, decline blasting experience, and hydropower drilling experience in a trackless mining environment.
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Trackless mining
Proficiency in English and any of the 11 other official languages
Have the ability and skills to coach, guide, and transfer knowledge
Computer literacy will be advantageous
Must be a legal South African citizen
Valid Driver’s licence & own transport
Clear Criminal Record
Must be declared fit by our OMP

Work a circle of shifts
The candidate must have a sound knowledge of trackless mining
Ability to plan, organize, control, and supervise the work of subordinates on trackless and in development
Ensure safe and quality underground operations to achieve daily production targets
Play a key role in taking charge of trackless and development blasting/rock-breaking operations within the designated area of responsibility to ensure the delivery of set targets
Responsibilities and functions include, but are not limited to, ensuring that all teams adhere and comply with HSE standards, procedures, and policies to ensure successful production
Perform all related mining duties as may be advised from time to time by the section Mine Overseer
