SUMMARY

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Commercial / Procurement Learner

Stipend: R5500

Location: Gauteng (Midrand)

POSITION INFO

About the role: To support Company's commercial and procurement functions by assisting with supplier management, tender documentation, contract administration, and procurement processes. Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and administration of tender and RFQ documents. Support supplier onboarding, evaluation, and performance tracking. Help maintain procurement records, contracts, and compliance documentation. Participate in price benchmarking and cost analysis activities. Learn to use procurement systems and reporting tools. Provide general administrative support to the Commercial team. Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Matric. National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (or currently studying towards it). Strong computer literacy (MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook). Key Attributes Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Interest in commercial and procurement processes. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ethical and professional approach to work.
