Introduction

A well-regarded 4★ safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-driven bartender with scullery responsibilities to join their hospitality team. This anonymous opportunity within the lodge sector is ideal for an individual who enjoys a hands-on role, combining guest interaction with essential back-of-house support in a professional safari environment.

Situated in a remote and exclusive safari setting, this position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience within the hospitality industry while working in one of South Africa’s most sought-after wildlife destinations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient and friendly bar service, ensuring guests receive a welcoming and memorable experience throughout their stay.

In addition to bar duties, the role requires assisting with scullery responsibilities, ensuring that the kitchen and service areas are maintained to the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards. This dual-role position is well suited to someone adaptable, proactive, and willing to support various departments when needed. If you are passionate about the bush lifestyle, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and take pride in maintaining high service standards, this role presents an excellent opportunity to grow within a reputable safari lodge.

Previous experience as a bartender within a lodge, hotel, or hospitality environment
Willingness to perform scullery duties including dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
Good understanding of bar service standards within a safari lodge environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Physically fit and able to handle manual scullery tasks when required
High attention to hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn in a safari environment

Salary: R6,000 per month
